The VR4600 is one of the largest of the current family of Vibration Research shakers. The large diameter armature adapts to many test requirements with a minimal amount of fixturing. High lateral and axial stiffness decrease problems associated with off-center loads. Unsupported horizontal operation is possible on many loads. The cooling blower is direct coupled to the shaker to give the maximum performance. An optional slip table is available for horizontal testing. Optional load supports allow testing loads with a high center of gravity. The suspension stiffness is adjustable. Electronic load compensation allows heavier loads.
The VR5800-BSR is customized for low noise operation. This shaker is typically used for Buzz, Squeak & Rattle testing, sound limit testing, sound recordings, and anechoic chambers.
Suitable for larger loads that don’t require high vibration levels, the VR5700 system offers the benefits of the larger shaker at a reduced price to give the maximum performance at low and high frequencies and can be easily switched from voltage source mode, for general testing, to current source mode for modal testing applications. Dual meters display the system operating levels and complete shaker and user interlocks help protect the system from accidental abuse. Oil film slip table base systems are available for larger and heavier loads or loads with high centers of gravity.
The VR5600 is a high performance system with a low mass armature capable of very high acceleration – 110 G (1080 m/s2) bare table. It is used for general purpose as well as modal testing. The shaker field supply is integrated into the power amplifier and includes a cooling interlock to protect the shaker.
The VR5500 is our strongest permanent magnet field shaker system. Capable of up to 75 force-lbs (334 N) the 3-inch (76 mm) diameter armature table is suitable for larger loads that require high vibration levels. The shaker’s full 1-inch (25.4 mm) armature stroke capability is ideal for many modal as well as low frequency general applications. The air cooled amplifier is direct coupled to the shaker to give the maximum performance at low and high frequencies and can be easily switched from voltage source mode for general testing to current source mode for modal testing applications. Dual meters display the system operating levels and complete shaker and user interlocks help protect the system from accidental abuse. A guided flexure table base system is available for larger or heavier loads and loads with a higher center of gravity
The VR4044 is a permanent magnet shaker that features a direct coupled cooling blower to maximize the force available in a small package. The larger armature supports general vibration testing of components and subassemblies. High lateral and axial stiffness reduce problems associated with off-center loads. Unsupported horizontal operation is possible on many loads. A rare-earth magnet reduces the overall shaker weight for portable applications. The robust design of this shaker ensures a long service life, important when running extended duration testing.
The VR4022 is a permanent magnet shaker that is used for both modal and general purpose testing. The compact size and light weight make a very portable package. This size is ideal for desktop applications. This lightweight armature shaker runs higher test levels without forced air cooling. It’s perfectly suited for testing of small transducers as well as electrical and mechanical assemblies. High lateral and axial stiffness reduce problems caused by off-center loads. Unsupported horizontal operation is possible on many loads. The frequency limit of 7000 Hz satisfies high frequency test requirements.
The VR5200HF is a high performance system which incorporates a compact high frequency shaker. This system offers the maximum performance from the shaker without a cooling blower. Full system ratings are available up to 14,000 Hz with reduced operation up to 20,000 Hz. This system is used for both general purpose high frequency testing and transducer calibration requirements. A voltage-proportional-to-output-current output signal is provided for modal test and other applications requiring force monitoring. The larger mounting surface of the ET-126HF easily supports the calibration of most vibration transducers and smaller high frequency assemblies and components for general purpose testing not requiring high acceleration testing. The shaker can support relatively heavy loads and is perfectly matched to the amplifier, which makes this the most versatile system of its size.
